To recover from job-related stress, it’s necessary to detach from work mentally, physically, and electronically during nonworking hours. If we stay connected to work through our phones and computers, work-related issues will spill into our family time and stop our recovery from job stress. If one spouse is experiencing work stress, it can affect the other spouse and no one will be able to use home life to recharge for the next day. Those who can disconnect from work experience less fatigue and job burnout, experience higher levels of positive emotions, and are more satisfied with their lives.
