Spring cleaning is a rite that takes place in homes throughout the world. It’s a time to clean out the junk and get a fresh start. It’s also the perfect time to do some mental housecleaning to get rid of the mental junk and create an open mind with plenty of room for clear thinking. One way to do this is to be still and concentrate on something in nature, perhaps a flower petal, a leaf, or a tree. Concentrate on the color, beauty, and intricacy. The longer you concentrate, the more clutter disappears as you release regret, fear, and resentment. Take time to be still every day.
