People are working with financial planners to make sure they have the money to retire, but they’re not preparing psychologically for the lifestyle change; retirement experts say. As a result, big problems are popping up. Retirees with nothing to do are causing great stress in their marriages, which could be contributing to a record divorce rate among Baby Boomers. This could easily be avoided if people retire with a plan, set a schedule and do something … anything, and don’t just sit around with the TV remote. The key is to restructure one’s life, not retire. People who keep busy, and make meaningful use of their time, have the most successful transition.
