One of the most valuable lessons to learn (often the hard way) is how important it is to take care of yourself, in order to be able to take care of others. Taking care of ourselves physically is only half of what it takes to feel happy. The rest is an inside job. If we do not truly love ourselves, and make time to listen to the small quiet voice within, we can look good on the outside but feel empty, depressed or full of self-loathing. To connect to your deeper self, slow down long enough to savor sweet moments rather than rushing to the next thing to do.
