We’ve all had moments of anxiety in a social situation, but those who suffer from social anxiety know that it’s more than just being shy or occasionally nervous. They have an intense fear of social situations. Studies have shown that social anxiety disorder is the third largest psychological disorder in the country and that 7-8% of the population suffers from some form of the disorder. People who suffer with social anxiety disorder have negative thoughts and beliefs that add to their anxiety.
