There are many types of group therapy, and many people respond better to therapy in a group, than strictly one-on-one counseling. Here are two of the ways group therapy can be especially helpful:
1. We are all unique in who we are, and in how we handle things. In group therapy, you find out that although you’re unique, you’re not alone.
2. You both get and receive support in group therapy. In group therapy, it’s not just the counselor talking to one person at a time while the others listen. It’s an interchange of support from the members of the group.
