As we have all found out — usually the hard way — it’s difficult to change bad habits into good habits. The following are a few ways to make that change easier:
- Self-acceptance: We must learn to treat ourselves like we do our friends and family. Any habit we want to change will be easier if we accept ourselves as we are, flaws and all. Our flaws make us human.
- Find your own values: If you try to mimic someone else’s life, you will not get very far. Your values are different from everyone else’s — stay true to yourself.
- Start small, take baby steps: If you try to tackle the whole thing at once, you are setting yourself up to fail. Break your goal into little steps, making it easier to achieve.
