The Power of Self-Compassion

“If all you did was put your hand on your heart and wish yourself well, it would be a moment well spent” is a quote about self-compassion. Self-compassion is a deeply healing practice, one that’s not being practiced enough, especially during the difficult times of life. Our neural reaction when things go wrong is to kick ourselves while we’re down, causing us to stay down and increasing our feelings of unworthiness and our hurt. This also increases our risk of stress, anxiety, depression, and addictive behaviors.
