How to Relax Your Mind

Many of us tend to get stuck in a loop of thinking and worrying. We also have way too much information to process. One study estimates that we process about 174 newspapers’ worth of information daily. It’s no wonder our brain rebels against these overloads. Here are a few ways to give your brain the break it needs: (1) Schedule your day in blocks of an hour to 90 minutes. In these blocks, avoid multitasking and distractions such as e-mail. Schedule time for things like e-mail and social media. (2) Take a walk in nature and listen to the outdoor sounds or music while you walk. This allows your brain to recharge.
