Experiencing episodes of anxiety is hard enough on your own. When you have someone you love who depends on your care, anxiety disorders can be even tougher. Fortunately, there are ways of both managing your stress and being a great mom:
- Ask for help. Call a friend or find a therapist you trust. Medication can also help.
- Use your hands: Quiet your thoughts with Play-Doh, or by working in the garden.
- Take a walk and let the fresh air clear your mind.
- Put on a TV show for your kids—sometimes you need a time-out too.
