These other companies, however, make it seem like there aren’t other options, when in fact there are better alternatives to try first. Before adding more meds, try psychotherapy such as cognitive behavioral therapy or interpersonal therapy. Breaking out of your shell more and trying to reconnect with other people can help you free yourself from the cycle of isolation in depression. Sometimes, you may just be suffering from depression related to recent life circumstances rather than from an internal illness, and should seek help without pills.
