6 Tips for Overcoming Anxiety-Related Procrastination

In this article, Alice Boyes, Ph.D., describes six different types of anxiety-related procrastination. If you find yourself overwhelmed by all the tasks in your life that must be scheduled, remembered, and taken care of, you’re probably dealing with procrastination that results from your working memory being overwhelmed. One method to overcome this situation is to get thirty-one file folders or file jackets, label them “1st” through “31st,” and as things come in that need to be scheduled, put each task in the proper folder. As you empty each folder, file it at the back of the stack so it’ll be ready for the next tasks for that date.
